A
very special thank you to the following families for
contributing financially to our annual retreat:
Michael and Katherine Jordan $1000
Lori Carver $20
John and Mary Kovach $20
Thank you for a wonderful
year! Lancaster has been a blessing in the lives of both of
my children (young adults) Jaxxon has told me many times
that the atmosphere is like being at church every single
day! How awesome to be free to worship our God and savior on
a daily basis! This is a dream every mother has for her
children...that that grow to desire God, need and seek him,
long for that daily personal relationship! I thank God for
Lancaster, the founders, teachers, supporters...those who
make it happen for our children to live and breath church
daily! I thank God for you Mr. Odea, the inspiration you are
to these children! Ms. Morgan has play such an instrumental
role in Farran's life! She is the teacher that has made the
greatest impression on Farran. She has been there through
good and bad, a light in the dark and a shoulder for tears
of joy or sorrow! Thank you for being there and loving our
children! Philemon 1:3-5

I just wanted to let you know
that our experience with Mrs. Stevenson has been
unbelievable. She is the most patient, kind, encouraging and
loving teacher anyone could ask for. She has been so great
with Emma and even when I didn't have faith Emma could do
the work Mrs. Stevenson did. She always emails me the
sweetest notes and never has a negative thing to say...She
is a most wonderful asset to Lancaster. Also, Mr. Colston is
a wonderful person as well. He has been so kind to Mitchell
and always helps him and encourages him. I love to see
teachers be such great role models for our children.
Thank you for everything you all do,
- Kristie Binkley Coleman
What can I say about Melanie Kloes that is even fitting
to put into words. She is an excellent math teacher (Shelby
has thrived under her), great coach, and a WONDERFUL mentor
to the kids in high school. She is spiritually and
emotionally vested in all of their lives, and it shows. She
holds them accountable, and demands and receives excellence
from them in the classroom. She always goes the extra mile
and we so appreciate her.

Thank you so much for the opportunity to share with you
how much God has blessed our family through the teachers at
LCA. Jonathan Hamari is in third grade and Isaac Hamari is
in first grade and they both have been attending LCA since
kindergarten. All the teachers love the Lord and care so
much for their students and it is shown in their interaction
with their students.
Last year Jonathan had Mrs. Johnson for second grade and she
is a very gifted teacher. I had the opportunity to sit in on
a class and watch how very skillfully she controlled a room
full of second graders. She had several different groups
doing different things and she quietly, yet stearnly kept
them focused and interested. I was amazed. Never once did
she raise her voice or act even slightly overwhelmed. All
year she was extremely organized and really challenged
Jonathan to do his best and at the same time, made it fun
for him. He learned self-control and his reading and math
skills jumped significantly. I am hoping that Isaac will
also have Mrs. Johnson next year for second grade. Hint!
Hint!
This year, Isaac has struggled with simply doing his
work. He is a young boy who just wants to play and is so
smart and creative that he has continually tried different
ways of doing this. He started out by leaving his papers
blank and then he tried hiding his papers. I guess he
thought out of sight, out of mind, right? Next, he just
randomly wrote numbers or words down so he could go to
recess and he tried filling story pages up with writing the
same words over and over and over. Mrs. Stevenson has really
worked with me in encouraging Isaac to do his work and care
about the quality of his work. Isaac is in the top reading
group and does fine with math, yet has to work on it. Mrs.
Stevenson has also encouraged me by telling me that Isaac is
not a "bad" boy and that I haven't done anything wrong. We
just have to stay on top of Isaac and love him, yet not let
him get away with things. I appreciate the fact that Mrs.
Stevenson "knows" her kids individually as well as
collectively.
Mrs. Malpass, Mrs. Ross, and Ms. Trotter are also very
dedicated teachers. Mrs. Trotter stayed after school one
night to help Jonathan with a project, which I know she did
not have to do. My daughter, Charis, is starting
kindergarden at LCA next year and she asks at least once a
week if she can have Mrs. Malpass for her teacher! I was a
little concerned about Jonathan taking honors math, but Mrs.
Malpass has done fantastic with him and she has given me
ideas to help him at home. Jonathan always wants to get
everything right and Mrs. Malpass has a way of calming him
down and giving him positive encouragement. Mrs. Ross has
mad both science and history fun and Jonathan comes home all
excited about something he has learned.
Finally, Jonathan has become bold in his faith even in third
grade. He has a friend down the street who is unchurched and
Jonathan has encouraged me in his boldness of sharing Jesus
with his friend! I know that a big part of this boldness
comes from his experience at LCA. Thank you so much for all
you do!
Sincerely,
- Tracy Hamari
Mrs. Malpass is the greatest teacher I've ever come in
contact in my 36 years on this earth. She is the most
dedicated teacher I've met, attending L.C.A was a culture
shock to my sons and and she made them feel very welcome
their. Dealing with my son Jordan isn't the easiest task at
times but she reaches him like no other and it's times that
I have a hard time dealing with him. Mrs. Malpass is just
the greatest period I really can't put into words just how
great I think she is and I have some great people in my life
but she tops the list and I mean when I met President
Clinton I thought to myself that I met the greatest person
in the world, that was until I met Mrs. Malpass are I
realized that she was the greatest person I've met because
she cares whole heartedly for her students! Honestly all the
teachers are just great and it just not fair to ask about
one cause honestly they are all great teachers and we all
know it's difficult at times dealing with kids but all the
teachers there don't let it show. I know God plays a major
part in this but I got to believe that when you work with
good people it makes working a happy time and makes the
environment a happy place. You have a great staff!
